Fierce competition in the industry

At present, China's steel structure industry has a high degree of marketization and fierce market competition, but the industry concentration is not high, even the largest production company's market share is not more than 2%.

According to statistics of China steel structure association, at the beginning of 2015, there were 375 enterprises with steel structure manufacturing qualification nationwide, but only more than 50 enterprises with annual output of more than 100,000 tons.

Citic construction investment research shows that enterprises above the scale can be divided into two categories according to the degree of marketization: one is represented by listed companies such as jinggong steel structure, hangxiao steel structure, southeast grid frame and honglu steel structure, which are completely independent of the market. One is the large and medium-sized state-owned steel structure enterprises represented by China construction steel structure co., ltd. and Shanghai baoye group co., LTD., which mainly provide supporting facilities for the project construction within the system without complete marketization.

In 2014, the steel structure industry as a whole was faced with such problems as sluggish fixed asset investment, fierce market competition, increased risk of project capital cushion, and prolonged payment collection cycle. At present, there are 5 steel structure companies in two cities disclosed in the forecast, growth prospects are not optimistic. Among them, honglu steel structure, fuhuang steel structure, southeast network frame is expected to profit in the first half, guangzheng group, zhongtai bridge is expected to continue to lose money in the first half. Honglu steel said, the company's main business in the adjustment period, green construction business is in a rapid development period, research and development investment is relatively large.

Policy boosts development

In recent years, China has been continuously promoting the development and application of green building. Insiders believe that the implementation of various policies will further standardize the market rules and competition order of green building industry, and drive the design and technological innovation of steel structure and other industrial chains.

The national development and reform commission and the ministry of housing and urban-rural development require that 1 billion square meters of new green buildings be completed during the 12th five-year plan period. By the end of 2015, 20 percent of new urban buildings will meet the green building standard.
